About Patricia Horner, LPC

Supporting Meaningful, Lasting Change

Change is sometimes a difficult challenge for us, and old patterns don't seem to work. Periodically, individuals need to seek outside support during these times of challenge.

A Collaborative Approach

I work with children, adults, and families to identify and change or adjust patterns that are outdated, creating positive patterns that last. My work helps individuals develop improved connections with one another, build greater self-esteem, address trauma and its effects on present relationships, establish or maintain more effective communication patterns, and increase self-reliance.

Experience and Credentials

I have over 25 years of experience in the human services field, giving me extensive experience addressing anxiety, depression, mood disorders, trauma, and loss. Additionally, I am a Registered Play Therapist and Approved Clinical Supervisor of LPCs. As a former teacher, I have extensive training and experience working with children who have been diagnosed with various disabilities.

Understanding Families

I have worked with families, children, and adolescents in a number of settings, including outpatient clinics, a Community Services Board, residential schools, FAPTs, public schools, detention centers, and intensive in-home settings. These experiences have given me a unique understanding of family systems and the interconnectedness of the family unit in times of struggle.
